Welcome to the website of the international music festival Bratislava Chamber Guitar. Its eighth edition will be held on April 19 - 22, 2012.

Guitar is nowadays very popular and it is being used in almost all musical genres. In the field of classical music it is mostly known as a solo instrument. However, it can be used in many different instrumental combinations. Bratislava Chamber Guitar festival has therefore an ambition not only to enrich the tradition of chamber music concerts in Bratislava but also to introduce guitar in various, including rare musical formations and genres and to stimulate the interest of young people for this instrument.

Artists from Argentina, Italy, Israel, Russia and Slovakia will perform at the four concerts of this year’s festival. These are excellent artists and winners of international competitions.

We invite all the guitar players for a seminar and master classes, which are also a part of the festival.
